Alcan Highway, Alaska

This watercolor landscape is the view as we drove into Alaska off the Alcan Highway, some of which was gravel. It was quite the memorable road trip driving from Georgia to Alaska. It was a spectacularly clear day, really showing off all its glory. This series of watercolor landscapes is a reflection on past road trips, weekend getaways, and seasons of life when we were able to travel freely. Each painting is painted from one of my photographs taken while traveling.
