Not pictured in this painting is the awful smell of urine that is often found under the bridges in Paris. Life in Paris in wonderful but it isn’t all croissants and wine. My husband likes to joke that you can walk fifteen feet in Paris and within that distance you smell urine, delicious fresh baguettes baking, poop, and fresh flowers.

This series of watercolor landscapes is a reflection on past road trips, weekend getaways, and seasons of life when we were able to travel freely. Each painting is painted from one of my photographs taken while traveling. It has me feeling very nostalgic for more simple times but also grateful for past adventures.
